Everything about Michi's Catering is flawless. From the quoting process, to the tasting, the food, and the service itself, we couldn't have picked a better place. It really felt like they were working closely with us every step to ensure a perfect service. Beyond their professionalism and amazing food, their team is so friendly that it felt like family. They will work with your budget and adjust accordingly. Well worth it and I would pick them again without hesitation!

Michi was a preferred vendor for our Wedding venue and I am so incredibly happy we chose them. They are a family owned business and you can tell how much care about you as clients and the quality of their food. There is also something truly special about having Chef Michi as your sushi chef during cocktail hours alongside his sons for the reception. As a somewhat Type A person planning my own wedding, I was never concerned about catering. Mike and Raphael are extremely responsive and helped guide me through the process of the tastings and even rentals for my reception. We had a 170-person wedding and the quality was uncompromised and tasted the same as the first and final tasting we did with Michi. I hope that I can attend a wedding or event where Michi is catering (or maybe they'll open a restaurant.) Don't second guess yourself, you will not regret choosing MIchi.

So many of our guests commented about their team's food and service. They were incredible easy to work with, flexible in our requests, and their execution was on point. If you are debating having them be your caterer, I can't recommend them enough.

Not sure what I can say about Michi that hasn't already been said. True professionals. Delicious food. Consistent raves from our guests (from all walks of life) on everything, from the hand roll bar to the bao station to the passed apps, cocktails, and family-style meal. Michi's a preferred caterer at our reception venue, and when I was researching caterers, I found that a colleague had recently booked them for her wedding (thanks Yelp!) When I asked her for more details, she said they were their "non-negotiable vendor." And I'm happy to agree with her: From our initial contact to reception day, the Michi team was responsive, proactive, and incredibly detail-oriented. Our initial tasting was at their kitchen in Campbell, where Mike sat down with us and explained every dish as it came out, answering all our questions in detail and even showing us a floorplan of how he envisioned the table setup at our venue. They work with an event rental company, so there's no need for you to worry about securing an extra vendor for tables, chairs, linens, and all the little things you totally want to be spending time and energy thinking about as you plan your wedding. A few months before the reception, we had our final tasting and drink selection, for which we were able to have up to 6 guests total (including ourselves). I would never have thought of having additional people come to the final tasting, but it was a huge plus to be able to bring both of our parents to the final tasting to get their opinions on the dishes, too! Other logistics things: you provide the alcohol, they'll provide mixers and staff. They've got a wide array of cocktails you can select from (and taste beforehand, adjusting to your liking). They managed to serve 6 dishes, family-style, including special plates for bride&groom and dietary restrictions, for ~140 guests, in about 30 minutes. You provide the cake, they'll provide a knife and serving utensil for the cake cutting and can cut/serve the rest out of sight. You're probably thinking, "wow this all sounds great...and it probably isn't cheap" and you're right. But the team is reasonable and will try to work with you on things in the contract if you have questions or concerns, and good food was our #1 priority for our guests. So bottom line, I have to echo my friend's comment, if I were to go back in time and do this again - I wouldn't consider anyone else.

The Michi family and their entire team made us feel very taken care of since the initial tasting all the way through our wedding day. We are very happy that we went with them as our caterer. If you want your guests to rave about the food and leave with full bellies, I highly recommend them. Their hand-roll station wow'ed our guests and many have not stopped complimenting the food at our wedding to us. Michi and his sons Mike and Raphael were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were so knowledgeable about the ins and outs of our venue, and they worked with us throughout the wedding planning process to ensure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. When our big day came, the Michi team did an amazing job setting up for our reception and the overall feedback from our guests were that their staff were all so attentive and professional and worked continuously to make sure guests got everything they needed during dinner service. Michi's is a full service caterer so they don't just take care of the food on your wedding day, they also work with you on choosing table linens, tableware and handle all of the set up and tear down for that. Our reception ran so smoothly with zero hiccups and they were hands down one of our most important vendors and worth every single penny. Highly recommend & I hope to have a chance to be at one of their events as a guest where I will devour the food.

My wife has accused me of planning our entire wedding (city, venue, and date) around making sure we could book Michi as our caterer. And she's honestly not that far off-- they're really just that good and I regret nothing. We first had Michi's food at a friend's wedding in 2021, and I bookmarked them immediately because it was the first time I was actually impressed with food at a wedding. Three years later, I just had Michi cater my own wedding, and it was everything we expected and more Throughout the whole planning process, the whole Michi family was incredibly kind, transparent and timely. They respond to emails extremely quickly and each tasting feels like a restaurant experience. Our wedding guests loved the food, and many of them told us it was one of the highlights of our wedding. Honestly, I don't really have much to say in terms of criticism. If you're thinking of having family style Asian food at your wedding in California, I would highly recommend them.

We found Michi while searching for an Asian food wedding caterer, and we hit the absolute jackpot! The food was phenomenal, and highly praised by all our guests, including otherwise usually picky eaters. Everyone left the wedding well fed and happy. The hand roll bar in particular was a smash hit! However, what sets Michi's apart is what they do beyond the food. Throughout the entire process, the Michi family has been nothing but kind, generous, thoughtful and supportive. Their attention to detail comes through in everything they do, and they continued to wow us from our initial tasting visit all the way through our wedding day. We truly loved working with them. Needless to say, we highly recommend Michi's Catering, and hope to be able to enjoy their food again in the future!

Michi is without a doubt one of the premier wedding caterers in entire Bay Area. They went above and beyond throughout the entire wedding planning process. From delivering a massive spread of food to our doorstep in SF during the tasting period, to making a celiac friendly gluten-free version of the entire dinner on the day of the wedding for my sister, my wife and I truly could not have asked for a more caring and thoughtful caterer to work with. Michi treats you like their family, and does everything possible to keep your wedding day moving forward smoothly without a hitch. They're worth every penny and were possible the most important vendor we had to make our wedding day special. Thank you, Michi! We hope to attend future events that you are catering!

It's unanimous - Michi's food is the best. This is not only from our wedding guests, but also from our other wedding vendors, who told us that they are so glad we booked their favorite caterer. If you are looking for anything Asian inspired - Michi is the caterer to go to. Before the wedding, Michi was provided us 2 separate tasting sessions (one final session just before finalizing our menu), to make sure we knew exactly what we were getting on the day of. Each of those sessions was a feast and we literally had leftovers for days afterwards because they provide generous portions and let you take home the leftovers. They even included some dishes that we didn't ask to taste! Michi's menu heavily favors Asian cuisine so I will focus on that. For our cocktail wedding they were able to provide 6 passed appetizers, a live sushi roll station, AND a charcuterie table. Everyone loved the sushi hand roll station and the appetizers. We chose to do dinner family style and had galbijjim and salmon for our mains along with the vegetables and carbs. The food was just as good during the wedding day as the tasting when we previewed it. For our vegan and vegetarian friends, Michi was also able to provide individual plates that were well-received. Michi doesn't cover dessert so we bought that separately but his team was able to serve the cakes. Lastly, we had duck baos and fried tofu for our after dinner snacks. By that time though, everyone was stuffed to the brim. Michi and team also provide a bartender (you have to buy the alcohol, but Michi provides the mixers) and let us choose 2 signature cocktails to serve. We chose a blueberry mojito (which we requested outside of their usual cocktail menu) and a yakult soju drink. The yakult soju drink was so popular with our guests that we actually ran out of yakult. Michi himself comes to the event and is highly interactive. It's clear that he has a strong passion for his work and cares about the couples that he works with. If there's any downside, it's that Michi is definitely not cheap - it could be a bit harder if you are on a budget. I believe their service accounted for about 50% of the overall cost of the wedding (but the cost includes rental of plates, linen, plates, etc. and bartending). However, I regret nothing and to me it's worth every dime.

I'm thrilled that the manager at our wedding venue had suggested Michi Catering as his number one choice. The entire process was easy and relatively stress free. Our top priority besides getting married, was to have AMAZING food that would fill our guests bellies. The issue we've always had at weddings is that food was either mediocre or not enough to eat. We didn't want either issue at our wedding. As soon as I could, I reached out to Michi's catering and was scheduled for a delivery for taste testing. My father, Fiancé (now husband), and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. After emailing back some feed back, we immediately got contacts signed. We knew they were the cater for us. Onsite taste testing and finalizing menus were a breeze as well. They have a lot to select from and at the end, I wish I was able to taste EVERYTHING! The way everything looked at our reception was everything I had hoped for! Michi himself was amazing! I can honestly say my friends, family, and including us... fell in love with him and accepted him into our family! He made sure my husband and I were fed throughout the event. I can honestly say that night was a DREAM. Loved them and their team! It's been a couple weeks and my friends and family are still raving about how great they were! I HIGHLY recommend! I've already referred a few couples to use them for their upcoming weddings next year! I'm so impressed with them that I wish they had a restaurant that I could support! I would love to use them again (I'm thinking 10 year vow renewal :)).
